Cardiology Clinic

Specialist cardiology advice with time to listen

I have set up a small independent clinic in my own time because I want specialist cardiology advice to be accessible regardless of a person's ability to pay. Appointments are face-to-face and normally last 30 minutes.

There is no expectation that you pay anything for your consultation.

You are welcome to attend whatever your circumstances.

Every 30-minute consultation includes

A letter to your GP after every consultation

I write to your GP after every consultation, without exception. Your GP receives a record of what we discussed, what I found, and what I have advised. This keeps your regular medical team fully informed and is a core part of how the clinic works.

Who is the clinic for?

The clinic is for people aged 16 and over who would like specialist cardiology advice. People come with a wide range of concerns. These are some common examples, and the list is not exhaustive:

Your NHS care remains available to you

This is an independent clinic. It is not an NHS service.

It does not replace your GP or your NHS care, and attending does not mean leaving the NHS care you already have. Your existing NHS care continues exactly as before.

If you need further heart tests

If an ECG, an echocardiogram, an ambulatory monitor, a blood test or another investigation would be useful, these can usually be arranged through your GP or your NHS team.

My role is to advise you on what is clinically appropriate.

What happens afterwards?

The clinic primarily provides assessment, explanation and advice. Most patients continue their ongoing care through their GP and the NHS.

I will occasionally suggest a follow-up appointment, but only where there is a genuine clinical reason for one. The clinic is not designed to create unnecessary long-term private follow-up.
